Nicey done.

Im impressed with this piece and i agree billy burf this is more minimalistic trance still it has the ambiant elements in there. I like the flow and way you had the track progress, good job on this piece:)

Sacrafan responds:

YES THANK YOU!!!!

Crunchy

I like the distortion alot, what r u using? The synths need some work and if your looking for a style name it sounds like bitcore in some way but also powernoise in other...so PowerBit!!! there! :)

Dj-Fanta5t1c responds:

powerbit... hmmm.

maybe THIS song is considered taht XD.

i use fl7 bro. alot of my presets are in 7 and i dont wanna upgrade to 8 >_<.

crunchy is my shit bro.

A giant star

This reminds me of space, a giant star or planet just sleeping waiting for its end...the empy space folds around it embracing its chilled touch...Well done...something i visialized that wasn;t completly fucking crazy :) By the way if your even reading these i hope you know i mean the best by all of this and im rating fairly. You don't produce crap...and you know that. If anything i say means anything or helps you in anyway then i am honoured to be of assistance :)

Sto0g3 responds:

I haven't checked my audio pages in months... All of a sudden people are reviewing me :):)

I really appreciate your kind words, you help out much more than you realise

Worldy influences

The live instruments was a very nice touch, gave the song a sort of watery soul to it. Or maybe a crying soul im not sure but it reminds me of water. You must have a pretty decent studio to record this stuff its sharp crisp and well EQ'd. I can see the hours put into this.

Sto0g3 responds:

Thankyou :)

EN meets ambiance

not sure if your know Einstürzende Neubauten is ( i bet you do ;) ) but this is something they would do. I love the samples their high quality, what kind of sampler do you use? And the way you arrange them into percussion was pretty much well geniues!!!! I do alot of field recordings myself and well you have inspired me my friend :)

Sto0g3 responds:

In this case my sampler wasn't very high quality at all... The sounds were recorded with a cheap headset microphone and run through about 3 or 4 ReDrum samplers in Reason 4.. I actually wrote a sequel to this, I should upload it :P

And I loooooove Einstürzende Neubauten

Snare!

I see where your going with this and i see why its called snare but i think a big of EQ on the snare would help, i would drop more low end off if and even out the mid and highs, what you have going on there can be exausting to listenings especially if its for a game. If you need help with Eqing google can provide you with plenty of sites :) But other than that i can't bitch ahahah

SirShikari responds:

thanks 4 the review with some proper constructive critiscm for once xD glad u liked it :3

Not a bad remix

Hey man good start to the remix though your kicks are a bit overpowering to most of the song. Sttill with a bit of work i think you could make this work, the glitching's pretty sweet too, i did a remix though i never sent it in.

Dj-Fanta5t1c responds:

thanks bro. submit the remix on this site.

Slow build to epicness

I like this it has a neat groove to it, the use of organic sounds brings this piece to life in my opinion. Like hte sanre roll around the 2:40 mark. The sceeches are at a nice level but at contrast to the overall tone and sound. Theres nothing bad to say about this.

DonaldFletcher responds:

Thanks dude. Those screeches were actually designed to exist in a different reality from the rest of the track, as if to be phasing in and out from a higher dimension. Or something like that. Haha. Glad it gave the right impression. Built that sound with Cygnus in case you're wondering.

I put more into drums here than any track I've ever done before - which is funny, because through the entire track I think the drums only exist for about a minute and forty seconds. The part you're talking about was inspired by Jimmy Chamberlin - one of the best drummers of all time.

As far as being organic, I think I can finally say I've got the equipment to breathe that kind of life into my audio. So you can look forward to more stuff like this in the future. That'll probably the hallmark of my style from this point onward. Thanks for reviewing man!

Shiver Me Timbers

AII This be a good ol track me friend!!! HAHA This is neat, i love the whale sounds, and on loops you can't even tell its looping. Though water sounds would have been cool sound, Phasers are good for that.

SyntheticProsthetic responds:

I've got several tracks on my computer using the same sounds. I might try your water idea. That would be neat. I'm glad you think the loop is good, I wasn't sure about it myself.
